Lo Brujo Garnacha
Calatayud, Spain 100% Garnacha An expressive bouquet of brambly fruit: blackberry, black cherry, red currant, and spice. On the palate, the wine features concentrated berry flavors, lovely spiciness, and a strong yet well-balanced core of minerality. Lo Brujo Garnacha is made from sustainably farmed bush vines of Garnacha averaging 50 years in age. The vines are planted to iron-rich, stony, red soils in the rolling hills of Calatayud. At harvest, the grapes are pressed and naturally fermented in a combination of concrete and stainless steel vats. The wine is left to settle through the cold winter and is aged for 9 months in the bottle before release.

Loire Valley, France 100% Gamay Averaging 40 years of age, Valérie's Gamay vines are planted on clay-limestone soils in the heart of the Cher valley of the Touraine region in the Loire. She farms them organically (certified) and harvests them by hand. The grapes are destemmed and go directly into stainless steel and fiberglass vats. Fermentation is spontaneous with indigenous yeasts; the wine is aged in vat. It is bottled without fining or filtering. The use of sulfur is minimal.

Franchere For Heaven's Sake Don't Move Here
Willamette Valley, OR 85% Pinot Gris, 15% Grüner Veltliner 10 days of skin contact in an open-topped fermentor. Following a gentle press in a basket press, the wine aged for 7 months in older, used French oak. Winemaker notes: "Looks like something between peach skin and pre-mixed tequila sunrise. For me, fresh saline aromas and rocks are the first things to hit my nose, but there’s also plenty of sliced melon and sweet florals (daffodil?). The flavors also unfold nicely: it’s tangy on the attack, then fleshier at midpalate, with Queen Anne cherry and tangerine mingling with paprika, citrus zest, and a mouthwatering salinity on the finish. The distinctive tannins are fine and already quite resolved."

The nose is redolent of lemon zest with smoked hay and an effusive sea water-like component, almost like a clam bake! The aromas continue and give way to a slight hint of white peach skin and an herbal edge. The palate is vivid and constricted at the same time, with beautiful fruit expressions unfolding.

Lustig Gruner Veltliner 1 L
Burgenland, Austria 100% Gruner Veltliner The delightful one liter bottle has only 12% with approximately 2.5 g/l residual sugar, 4.8 g/l of acidity and 3.4 pH, making it a dry wine. There is no malolactic fermentation. This is a crisp, refreshing Grüner Veltliner with notes of herbs, minerals, citrus, stone fruits, and excellent acidity. The wine is bottled as a basic Weinland Österreich in a one liter bottle with a crown cap.

The palate is silky, gripping texture (from the skin contact) and quite fresh with an herbal edge and pear notes reemerging. The finish is a dichotomy between a mouthful of rocks and slated fresh herbs, a touch of tannin and mouthwatering acidity.

Schlossmuhlenhof Boden Funk Muller-Thurgau
Reinhessen, Germany 100% Muller-Thurgau Electric boog-aloo! Bright citrus, acidity for miles, tangy & fresh. From 25 year old vines planted to 3.6 hectares, in Alzey, of loess and calcareous clay soils. The grapes are hand-harvested and sorted in mid-September, left to macerate for 24hrs, followed by spontaneous fermentation lasting seven weeks. The wine spends five months on lees with stirring four times per month. Allowed to rest in stainless steel for five months before bottling. Unfiltered.

All cuvees are made in a single vintage (although tirage too short to label as such), organically, spontaneously fermented, with no sulfur and no dosage.
