In this curry chicken, chicken is first cut up and washed with the juice of a lime or lemon. Then, it’s marinated with a blend of fresh herbs and lots of garlic, which we refer to as green seasoning in Trinidad. In the Caribbean, former British colonies such as Jamaica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Guyana and Trinidad & Tobago are literally the land of curries. So much so that in Trinidad & Tobago curry has become a symbol of national identity over the past two centuries.

- POINT-A-PIERRA PELAU*$12.00
Trini Pelau, is an iconic recipe from the island of Trinidad that is often made on weekends and when family and friends get together for a "lime" (Caribbean slang word for get-together). This one-dish meal, originating in the French West Indies combines pigeon peas, meat or chicken, and rice along with fresh herbs and coconut milk. The entire dish is then flavored and colored with burnt sugar.

Includes a delicious combination of yellow split peas, corn, dumplings, carrots, cassava (yuca), butternut squash, and a variety of herbs and spices. Soup can be ordered with or without pigtails.

Includes delicious fried bread, complete with whiting filets, lettuce, and tomatoes. Fish can be topped with a choice of three (3) delectable sauces: tamarind, zesty garlic, or cilantro.
