- Colene Clemens Margo, Chehalem$40.00
One of the warmest years of the last five, we brought in all of our estate fruit between September 24th and 30th. Once in the winery, the fruit was 100% destemmed into small stainless steel tanks and began a 4—5 day cold soak. Following this, tanks were gently warmed, and fermentation by indigenous yeast began and continued for 10-14 days. Throughout primary fermentation, the tanks were gently punched down by hand twice daily. Once fermentation was complete, the wine remained in tank for 5-7 days of extended maceration, after which it was drained and the skins and seeds went to press to very gently to procure the remaining juice. Both the free-run juice and pressed juice went directly to barrel without settling. After aging for 11 months in 22% new, 29% 1 year, 30% 2 year, and 19% 3 year old French oak barrels, the wine was then blended and bottled in December of 2019.

- Grand Pre Fleurie Cuvee Spaciale$29.00
Grapes for this cuveé are sourced from ancient vines on some of Beaujolais’ highest elevations in the Cru village of Fleurie. As always with this estate, yields are half of Grand Cru Burgundy (especially important in a region that has some of the world's highest vine densities), and a long, cool carbonic maceration for 30 days occurs in a spherical concrete vessel known as ‘Sputnik” (hence the spaceman on the label). This is an incredibly special wine, with the bright and lifted red-fruited juiciness of Fleurie and a depth and gravitas not usually found in Beaujolais at this price point. Again, it would not hurt to open the bottle or decant for 30 minutes to let it settle and fully express itself before drinking – and don’t forget the slight chill, which we think Gamay always wants. Drink now or let it age a year or two – it’ll only get better with time -- but drink it all in one sitting, as this vintage does start to fall apart a few hours after opening.
- Cantemerle Bordeaux$26.00
Some reduction on the first nose here. Really takes some time before the fruit starts to come out, showing nuanced layers of raspberry and chocolate, with a tiny touch of bitterness on the finish. There is clear power and depth here. Give it time in bottle. Drinking Window 2026 - 2042- Decanter.

It shows off a lot of sugar. Part of that extra richness over the 2018 may be the perception created by this being a year younger, to be sure. For today, I like the balance on the 2018 better and give that the nod. This might well catch up in time. The difference between the two is not particularly great, despite rather different vintages.

- Jean Josselin Contexture$68.00
Our region stands out for its slopes, steeper than our neighbours, also in the Marnais; their climate is oceanic, whereas ours is continental; their soil is clay-limestone, where are in reality the Marnais soil is very chalky. Our land gives wines that are rounded, with a more pronounced vinous taste. Our vineyard is made up of 14 plots, situated for the most part in the communities of Gyé sur Seine and Neuville sur Seine, a neighbouring commune. About four kilometres from the winery, you have to cross paths, forests and valleys to discover our vines, which grow peacefully to the rhythm of the moon and seasons, cradled by a religious silence that only the birds and game disturb with their presence. Lucile JOSSELIN

The whisky is then expertly married together to create sublimely smooth layers of sunripe fruit, aromatic smoke and toasted oak spice, lingering into the perfectly balanced sweet and smoky finish.
- Glenglassaugh 30 year$650.00
Whisky Advocate-Highlands, Scotland- "...Mellow on the nose, with fresh oranges and apples, developing toffee, and violets. Smooth and fruity on the palate, with dark chocolate, pepper, and discreet tannins. Long in the finish, with fruity oak.
- Bruchladdich PC10$96.00
Bold peat, orchard fruit, vanilla, honey and malty notes on the nose. The palate echoes the nose, enhanced by notes of iodine, brine and a light oakiness. The finish is lingering and smoky with hints of brine vanilla and oak.

- Octomore 13.2$295.00
Octomore 13.2 offers an alternative maturation to the structural brilliance delivered by its 13.1 counterpart. In an indulgent point of difference, the five-year-old spirit has spent its entire maturing life in Oloroso butts from Fernando de Castilla, Spain.
- Octomore 13.3$340.00
Distilled in 2016 from the 2015 harvest of 100% Octomore Farm-grown Concerto barley, then matured for 5 years in a combination of first fill bourbon and second fill European oak barrels — a slight shift on the usual formula, which is typically bourbon only. 129.3 ppm. Much hotter than the 13.1, but surprisingly much more well-rounded, with less overt smoke and ash and a much stronger fruit character on the nose, showcasing lemon and orange peel, but not nearly as sharply as the 13.2 bottling. Fruit moves into nutty nougat on the palate, informed by a moderated seaside bonfire character — smoke and salt and seaweed all in a swirl. The overall composition is more iconic Octomore than either of the other two releases in this series and a classic representation of Islay turned up to 11. I like 13.2 for its uniqueness, but those looking for something right in line with tradition will find this on point. 122.2 proof.
