The tiny vineyard is walled off, secret-garden style. All varieties are co-fermented in old oak foudres using indigenous yeasts. So wildly dynamic, with rich earth, green herbs, and drippy, ripe fruits.

Willamette Valley, OR 100% Pinot Noir Dancing aromas and flavors of red berries and violets; herbal and a touch saline. Drink now with a good decant, or cellar for a few years to see how it unfolds. Previous vintages of F&F's PN has come from Silvershot Vineyards, but 2020 is a blend of fruit from three own-rooted, organically-farmed sites: No Clos Radio (53%), Silvershot Vineyards (40%), and BeckenRidge Vineyard. The majority of the fruit was destemmed, but there is about 17% wholecluster inclusion. All fermentation was spontaneous and the average length of maceration was 14 days before pressing off into a mix of French, Hungarian, and Oregon oak. The wine aged for 9 months in barrel before being racked once then bottled without fining or filtration

On the palate, the wine features concentrated berry flavors, lovely spiciness, and a strong yet well-balanced core of minerality. Lo Brujo Garnacha is made from sustainably farmed bush vines of Garnacha averaging 50 years in age. The vines are planted to iron-rich, stony, red soils in the rolling hills of Calatayud. At harvest, the grapes are pressed and naturally fermented in a combination of concrete and stainless steel vats. The wine is left to settle through the cold winter and is aged for 9 months in the bottle before release.

Franchere For Heaven's Sake Don't Move Here
Willamette Valley, OR 85% Pinot Gris, 15% Grüner Veltliner 10 days of skin contact in an open-topped fermentor. Following a gentle press in a basket press, the wine aged for 7 months in older, used French oak. Winemaker notes: "Looks like something between peach skin and pre-mixed tequila sunrise. For me, fresh saline aromas and rocks are the first things to hit my nose, but there’s also plenty of sliced melon and sweet florals (daffodil?). The flavors also unfold nicely: it’s tangy on the attack, then fleshier at midpalate, with Queen Anne cherry and tangerine mingling with paprika, citrus zest, and a mouthwatering salinity on the finish. The distinctive tannins are fine and already quite resolved."

Avondale, PA From a field blend of estate grown Malvasia Bianca, Petit Manseng, Pinot Grigio, Tocai, Fiano The grapes were picked by hand on the mornings of Sept 11, 12 & Oct 25. Each batch was fermented sulle bucce (in contact with their skins) for 21-32 days, then aged for 18 months sur lie. After bottling, the wine was aged in cellar 18 months before release. La Prima Donna's unique signature offers a rich yet tangy wine that allows it to pair well with an unusually wide range of foods, with layers of citrus, honey, and tropical fruit notes that seem to keep changing in the glass.

Hand-harvested grapes are de- stemmed and pressed, then spontaneously fermented in stainless steel using only indigenous yeasts. After 26 days of maceration, the color and aromas typical of the Trebbiano d’Abruzzo wine being to appear. No filtration, just a simple decantation before bottling.

The Aperitivo Cappelletti, endearingly known to locals as just “Specialino”, may be the oldest style of the classic red bitter still in production. Unlike its larger commercial rivals, Cappelletti is less sweet and has a wonderful drying finish. Additionally, it still uses natural carmine color for a crimson red and retains a vinous texture from its wine base. It offers a vibrant and flavorful profile, complemented by bitter undertones on a traditional wine base. This yields a Negroni or Spritz that is dry and refreshing in the finish. It is made just outside of Trento in Alto Adige by the Cappelletti family, who also produce a number of other exceptional aperitivi and amari.
