- El Yucateca$7.00

- Matouk's Hot Pepper Sauce$9.00
Matouk’s Hot Pepper Hot Sauce is well known by Parrot Heads. Jimmy mentions them in his book, “A Pirate Looks at 40,” as his favorite hot sauces. That alone is a pretty cool thing and a sure shot that Matouk’s makes some really great hot sauces. After all, if it’s good enough for Jimmy, it’s good enough for us. Matouk’s Hot Pepper Hot Sauce is made with aged, pickled scotch bonnet peppers and mustard. The spice comes from the peppers, not the mustard, so this is the best of both worlds for mustard and pepper lovers. The heat level on this hot sauce is manageable for most folks. It comes in at a 3.5 out of 10 on the Peppers of Key West Heat Level Rating Scale. What that means is you get the robust flavor of the scotch bonnet pepper without the blazing heat. It’s still pretty dang hot, but not “rot your gut” hot.

Légal Hot Sauce is made from a special recipe passed down for generations and is now available for the first time in The United States. Malagueta peppers grow in Brazil and are the key ingredient in Légal Hot Sauce. Legend has it that the Malagueta pepper was discovered by the Portuguese upon exploring South America in what is now Brazil. The mystical plant has been used for thousands of years by the natives for food and medicinal purposes. It was instrumental in the discovery of gold in Brazil. Wherever explorers found the malagueta growing, gold was soon discovered close by, thus the Malagueta plant became a sign of good luck.
