Our White Peony comes from Zhenghe town in Fujian Province, the original birthplace of white tea centuries ago. Distinguished by being plucked in "budsets" of one or two leaves and a bud, this tea has a sophisticated mouthfeel with a slightly stronger body than Silver Needles. INGREDIENTS Organic oolong tea // Elevation: 1,600m Cultivar: Ruanzhi "Soft Stem" Oolong Cultivar (a strain of Qingxin) Harvest Season: October 2018 // Ruby Oolong is a special type of oolong tea produced in the Doi Mae Salong mountainous region in northern Thailand. This full-bodied oolong tea is deeply oxidized and slowly baked to bring out complex layers of cacao, raisins, and black cherry with a sublime, elegant structure. The soil in northern Thailand is soft and loamy, providing a concentration of nutrients not found in other oolong tea origins. This lends a unique sweetness and rich viscosity in mouthfeel. Ruby Oolong is an excellent introduction to the world of oolong tea with its deliciously sweet caramelized fruit and chocolate aromas that permeate the air as soon as it is brewed. Bao Zhong
INGREDIENTS Oolong tea // Bao Zhong is a lightly oxidized oolong tea from Taiwan that is harvested twice per year, with a spring crop in April and a winter harvest in December. Our Bao Zhong is made from the famous qingxin tea cultivar, which presents a delicate palate with aromas of lilac and orchid when lightly oxidized. This classic style of tea is processed with an oxidation level of less than 20% to preserve these ethereal, high floral aromas. The name Bao Zhong was originally a trade name used to describe any style of tea from Fujian or Taiwan that was wrapped by hand in paper sheets and sold by 150g net weight and is alternatively spelled as Pouchong in the tea trade. INGREDIENTS Organic black tea // Our English Breakfast highlights teas from Southeast Asia to produce Rishi's signature profile blend. The origins will vary from time to time, but the blend is always honed to brew consistently. Currently, the origins are Yunnan, Myanmar and Assam. Our English Breakfast has a rich red infusion color that is malty and robust with sweet, chocolatey undertones and a brisk body that can stand up to milk and sugar. By comparison, our China Breakfast is intended to be more mellow, caramel-sweet and is designed to be smooth enough to drink straight up without milk and sugar.

Earl Grey dates back to the nineteenth century tea trade when Charles Grey, the 2nd Earl Grey, was presented with a gift of Taitaicha—tea scented with citrus blossoms—during his travels in Canton. After Grey returned home, his namesake tea became wildly popular when the tea salons of Europe infused black teas with the essence of the bergamot citrus fruit that grows in Reggio Di' Calabria, Italy.
