It is straw yellow in color, with clean, crisp aromas of exotic fruits and ocean-like minerality. The Carnoso’s body opens up on the palate with soft, delicate acidic notes of lemon and citrus that combines into a refreshingly long, well-balanced finish. This style of chardonnay is aged in meticulously hand selected New French Oak making it lighter, and not overly oaky or buttery. This chardonnay would pair perfectly with lighter foods making it a perfect springtime wine.

Marsanne + Roussanne CA - Sonoma County Stonefruit, Quince, Almond, Lemon, and Honeydew Melon 13.9% Meaning “two vines white,” Urban Press 2016 “Due Vigne Bianco” is half Marsanne and half Roussanne grapes from Sonoma County’s Alexander Valley. The antique classroom slate with the Roman numeral II, evokes wood, stone, earthiness. The blend is suggestive of a rich oak Chardonnay that is immediate on the nose and echoed on the palate. Creamy notes of peach and nut add a silky texture to the mouthfeel. Honeydew melon and floral notes play out on the long finish. Though full bodied, it doesn’t have the intense butter of many Chardonnays. It’s a masterclass in white-grape blending.

Underlying sea salt and light vegetable notes give this wine the perfect balance without overpowering the ripe notes of softer fruit. This small production rosé has aged harmoniously and will compliment meals. It is well balanced and light having a rose gold hue. During the 2017 Sonoma County fires, our Petit Verdot grapes had severe smoke taint, almost causing us to trash the grapes. Our winemakers took the skin off and created an outstanding rosé that is incredibly lush and fresh!

In years past, the Merlot grape has gotten a bad rap, as have witches. A bare tree, with limbs seeming to dance in all directions against a spare background, symbolizes the mystery and complexity of our Sonoma Merlot. She may beguile and confuse but is never boring. Full-bodied and fruity, this Merlot has rich plumb and tart cherry on the nose. It rolls over the palate with soft tannins and notes of smooth vanilla underlying the long luscious finish.
